I find that might writing often comes out at a big rambling of thoughts and reflections. I am looking to make it flow better and connect from beginning to end. I want my purpose to become more clear to the reader.
I can relate to not always knowing what to write about! I like the short sentences and statements you used in the piece. I think it further reflects your topic. In regards to flow, I think that starting with the "Writers block is the worst" is great. But then I would put your second paragraph first (because it describes your advice for writers block), and your first paragraph second (because that is where you are following your own advice). Did taking your own advice help with your writers block the next time?
You did have idea to write about and that is nothing. Even though we don't think we have any ideas there is always something to write. I have the issue of not wanting to write. I have a lot of ideas but just don't want to do it. I think it's because the last two years that is all I have done is write. This would be a great example to use the classroom to show students that mistakes can be done and easily fixed. Also, this would be a chance to use with students to put in paragraphs and where do they belong. Just some thoughts.
I like your advice!! I think that it is good to just encourage students to write, even if they don't know what to write about. It may not be the best writing they have ever done, but then again, it might spawn into something fun and interesting. It is a feeling that we have all had. They will be able to connect to their readers.
